Back when I was a freshman in college (circa 1987) I had a Commodore 64. One of my favorites was the Sid Meier classic, Pirates. I would procrastinate for hours by playing this game. My roommate Chris Clements was so addicted that he would stay up all night playing this game. One morning when I got up about an hour before my 7:30 a.m. class on Friday (What can I say? I’m a morning person!), he was *still* playing.

“Sid Mieir’s Pirates”

The PC Version has been out since late November 2004. I remember almost purchasing it for my Wintendo while browsing at CompUSA over Thanksgiving, but it seems like such a great title for X-Box that I’m committed to waiting for it on the console. Well, that and that price hasn’t really come down enough for me to stop waiting; even the used prices are still close to $40!

…and I really mean “must.”

Carl (my vice president at work) asked his directors to read the following book. With my recent interest in Getting Things Done, I’m hoping that they are good reading and life changing (or at least work changing).

“The Five Dysfunctions of a Team: A Leadership Fable” (Patrick M. Lencioni)

“Death by Meeting : A Leadership Fable…About Solving the Most Painful Problem in Business” (Patrick M. Lencioni)

Today is Noah’s first birthday. Hard to believe that it’s been a whole year.

Today we’re going to take him to feed the ducks at the La Mirada park, and tomorrow is the big party.
