I\’m near LAX today at a customer event put on by the developer of our email / groupware platform. the last one I went to was in vegas, almost two years ago.

I hope to get good information that will help us make strategic decisions about the future of email at Biola.

I\’ve listened to this audio book at least tree times in the last few weeks. (I was working on landscape in my backyard.) Just ordered a copy of this for a buddy of mine, who wasn\’t entirely excited about reading it. Who knows whether he will change his tune. I think he will.

Sprint finally came through with the Bluetooth Dial-Up Networking for the Treo 650. It was posted last night on Engadget but waited until this morning to do the update.

palmOne - Support - Download & Install Treo 650 Updater for Sprint PCS:

The update went fairly smooth, other than the normal Now Up-to-Date rigamarole to keep duplicate events from occurring on our shared calendar server (which I almost botched!).

This past Saturday (June 11, 2005), we celebrated Noah’s birthday with some friends. A good time was had by all (at least that’s what they told us) and as you can probably tell by the picture below, Noah enjoyed his cake.

XBOXJune 10, 2005 12:49 pm

Back when I was a freshman in college (circa 1987) I had a Commodore 64. One of my favorites was the Sid Meier classic, Pirates. I would procrastinate for hours by playing this game. My roommate Chris Clements was so addicted that he would stay up all night playing this game. One morning when I got up about an hour before my 7:30 a.m. class on Friday (What can I say? I’m a morning person!), he was *still* playing.

“Sid Mieir’s Pirates”

The PC Version has been out since late November 2004. I remember almost purchasing it for my Wintendo while browsing at CompUSA over Thanksgiving, but it seems like such a great title for X-Box that I’m committed to waiting for it on the console. Well, that and that price hasn’t really come down enough for me to stop waiting; even the used prices are still close to $40!

…and I really mean “must.”

Carl (my vice president at work) asked his directors to read the following book. With my recent interest in Getting Things Done, I’m hoping that they are good reading and life changing (or at least work changing).

“The Five Dysfunctions of a Team: A Leadership Fable” (Patrick M. Lencioni)

“Death by Meeting : A Leadership Fable…About Solving the Most Painful Problem in Business” (Patrick M. Lencioni)

Today is Noah’s first birthday. Hard to believe that it’s been a whole year.

Today we’re going to take him to feed the ducks at the La Mirada park, and tomorrow is the big party.
